To many Christians, theology is a bad word. It brings negative connotations about being know-it-alls and that “knowledge puffs up” (1 Cor. 8:1). We’re afraid of being eggheads. But we must understand something: the spiritual discipline of studying theology is not only for scholars, pastors, and the like. It is for every Christian. All Christians are, by definition, theologians.
If we are Christians, we need theology, since theology is the study of God.
The purpose of this blog is glorify God by writing theological blogs that are meant not only to explain different theological concepts, but show how theology applies to life. People need to see that theology is a good thing and that, as Christians, we need to be students of the Word.
However, from time to time I will write more personally. I will write about life experiences and what is happening in my life. I mainly write about theology, but for whoever reads it, I also want to be more personal at times.
This is why the blog site is titled Theology & Life. I hope you enjoy.
